The aim of the engineering program in ISTUN University is to build up engineers who are furnished with analytical thinking capability and also who adopted the lifelong learning as the living principle and who espoused the hard teamworking. So that they can challenge in sectors of engineering as producing technology and science, using the universal knowledge, the engineering discipline and the scholar culture they already acquired.
We inspire and educate today's chemical engineers to engage in product engineering activities for developing high-valued new products, quality control works and after-sales customer relations and also designing new processes and operating them in the most appropriate conditions.
In order to fulfill these features, the curriculum is enhanced into four main streams as Basic Sciences, Engineering Sciences, the Design and Elective Courses. In those courses, practical, laboratory and computer-based chemical engineering education are presented. Optional courses are divided into three groups as Group Optional Courses, Technical Optional Courses and Social Optional Courses. Group Optional Courses have been programmed to equip students with the specific knowledge of the selected field, considering the job employment opportunities and today's priority areas. Among those fields, the outstanding Polymer Engineering Group courses proactively contribute to job employment and R&D studies in sectors such as polymer, polymer processing and paint. All courses are equipped by modern educational equipment and laboratory facilities.
Intentionally, as our founding foundation is coming from the health care sector and has extensive production, quality control and R&D activities in the pharmaceutical sector, the Pharmaceutical Engineering elective group courses and the Biochemistry Engineering elective group courses have been attentively scheduled based upon the currently increasing importance of production techniques which involve particularly renewable resources.
As backing and contributing to all above, the esteemed academic staff, each of whom are respected in their own field of profession, with their industry experience, international science awards and the success they gained with their original studies, will ensure the students to complete their education in both basic sciences and applications of the industry. Besides, for the future terms, the academic staff will be enhanced further to ensure the requirements of the time.
