About the Department
Mechatronics Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering discipline that brings together many disciplines such as mechanical, electrical-electronic and software technologies and has an important place in today's industry with these features. It has emerged as a new engineering field with the widespread use of intelligent systems.
The aim of ISTUN Mechatronics Engineering Department is to train creative engineers who are well educated in electronics, computer and mechanical sciences, which constitute the main structure of today's technology, have developed analytical thinking, modeling, problem analysis and solving skills, have the ability to take part in interdisciplinary teams and professional ethics awareness, follow new technologies and requirements, have high application skills.
Academic Facilities
In our department; In the first two years of the education program, mainly mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical drawing, basic programming courses such as electricity, electronics, mechanics, computer courses will be taught in the following years. The research and application skills of our students will be supported by project courses, modern educational equipment and laboratory facilities.
Our students have the opportunity to double major and minor if they meet the necessary conditions.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the department with the title of "Mechatronics Engineer" have the opportunity to work in all companies and R&D centers that produce vehicles (automotive, aircraft, ship, railway systems) industry, defense industry, white goods, energy systems, health technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence technology, automation systems. Graduates of the department can also work as academicians in universities while continuing their master's and doctoral studies.
